Hello

My name is Kate Longhurst

I'm a life coach with a passion for empowering women to achieve the life they want.

I combine my natural curiosity, empathy and intuition with my ability to intently listen and disseminate what I'm hearing, so that you can safely explore and understand what you want in life and work to achieve it.

A Bit About Me

I’m a mother, an expat, an empath, a listener and a practiced chartered accountant, as well as a trained coach. I've worked in high-pressured corporate environments, juggled life as a working mum and had periods of downtime, where I've lost my sense of self and purpose. In 2021, I discovered coaching and realised that it gave me the perfect opportunity to fulfil my passion - supporting women to understand and achieve the life they want.

For over fifteen years, I worked as a Chartered Accountant in public practice and government, mostly in London in the UK. After a decade working for a big four accounting firm in mergers and acquisitions, I found myself at a decision point. I re-evaluated my career and realised that I'd drifted a long way from what was important to me - helping people. I decided to take my financial and business skills and experience into supporting the National Health Service in the UK.

In 2017, my family had the opportunity to move from London to Singapore with my husband’s career. It was exciting and hard for me. I left my job, my home, my friends and my family and moved to the little red dot for a two year adventure. Still here five years later, and with my children now in full time schooling, I again re-evaluated my career choices, this time with my values of family, well-being, optimism and respect more keenly in mind, and discovered coaching. I researched my options, got coached and completed my coach training with CoachU Inc.

As a practicing coach, I am passionate about empowering women to achieve the life they want. I have experienced feeling like an imposter at work and not having the confidence to push for opportunities I deserve, or the confidence or words to deal with difficult colleagues. I have experienced trying to juggle work and home life, including children. I have been in the position of not knowing what I want in life, from my career to my relationships, to how I spend my free time. I have experienced excitement,  loss and loneliness in relocating to a new country, and a loss of self in being a trailing spouse and a mother. I have felt a nagging sense that my chosen career doesn’t ring true for me, as well as the excitement of finding something that does. If any of this resonates with you, I would love the opportunity to give you the time and space to work through what's challenging you and help you move forward.
